SBI Junior Associate Recruitment 2026 Preparation Guide

Prepare for the Preliminary Examination

Give priority to:

  • English Language
  • Numerical Ability
  • Reasoning Ability

Because each section has a fixed 20-minute duration, candidates should practise solving questions under strict sectional time limits.

The Preliminary Examination has negative marking, so accuracy should be prioritised alongside speed.

Prepare for the Main Examination

The Main Examination has four areas:

  • General/Financial Awareness
  • General English
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude

Since only Main Examination marks are considered for the final merit list, serious candidates should begin Main Examination preparation early rather than waiting until after the Preliminary Examination.

Local Language Preparation

Candidates who have not studied the selected local language in Class 10 or Class 12 should prepare specifically for the Local Language Proficiency Test.

The SBI Junior Associate Recruitment 2026 is a significant special recruitment drive offering 1,538 provisional backlog vacancies in the clerical cadre. The recruitment has a clearly defined three-stage selection structure involving the Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and, where applicable, the specified local language test.

Candidates should pay particular attention to the one-State/UT restriction, local language requirement, OBC Non-Creamy Layer conditions, graduation cut-off date, category documents and application-upload specifications.
