RITES Recruitment 2026 Experience Requirements for Senior Manager
For candidates from Central/State Government, PSUs and Autonomous Organisations having IDA/CDA pay scales, the notification requires:
- Total experience of 8 years; and
- At least 2 years in the IDA pay scale of ₹50,000–1,60,000 or CDA Level 9 of the 7th CPC pay matrix.
For candidates from State PSUs, Autonomous Organisations, PSBs, public-sector insurance companies and other statutory bodies not following IDA/CDA pay scales, the candidate should have:
- Total experience of 8 years; and
- At least 2 years in a pay scale equivalent to the IDA scale of ₹50,000–1,60,000 or CDA Level 9 of the 7th CPC pay matrix.
Equivalence will be determined by comparison of the maximum basic pay of the applicable scale with the relevant IDA/CDA scale.
The requirement of two years in the immediate lower scale does not apply to candidates already working in the same or higher pay scale of the advertised post.
For candidates from the private sector or other organisations, the requirement is:
- Total experience of 8 years; and
- Annual CTC of at least ₹20.16 lakh on the last date for submission of the application.

Minimum Marks in Educational Qualification
Candidates belonging to UR/EWS, as well as SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD candidates applying against unreserved posts, should have a first-class degree or minimum 60% marks in the minimum qualification.
Reserved-category candidates applying against reserved vacancies should have at least 50% marks in the minimum qualification.
The degree must be recognized by AICTE and obtained from an eligible university or institution in India.
Sections A & B examination of the Institution of Engineers (India), where treated as equivalent to a degree by the Government of India and recognized by AICTE, will also be accepted.
If a marksheet or certificate does not indicate first class/division or percentage, the candidate must provide the university/institution’s conversion formula for calculating percentage from CGPA/DGPA or another grading system.
Where the university/institution does not have a conversion formula, an undertaking signed by an authorised representative of the university/institution must be provided. In such cases, 6 on a 10-point scale will be considered as 60%.

The appointment will initially be on probation for one year from the date of joining.
Continuation and confirmation will depend on:
