Experience
Mandatory (post‑qualification):
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in the Risk Management Department of any of the following:
- Bank
- Financial Institution
- Rating Agency
- Brokerage firm
- Risk advisory in a consulting firm
Preferred experience:
- At least 2 years specifically in climate‑change‑related financial risk and assessment models.
Important:
- Training/teaching experience is not counted.
- Experience must be supported by certificates or documents clearly mentioning the relevant role/department.

Job Profile & Responsibilities
As Manager (Risk Specialist – Climate Risk), you will support SBI in embedding climate risk into its overall risk framework and regulatory compliance.
Core Responsibilities
- Implement the Climate Change Risk Management Policy and related frameworks aligned with Bank strategy.
- Identify climate risks at portfolio and account levels, and prioritise sectors/customers for detailed analysis.
- Assess the Bank’s exposure to physical and transition climate risks, including impact on assets, operations and supply chains.
- Calculate financed emissions and carbon footprint for lending portfolios; track and report emissions over time.
- Design inputs and run climate scenarios and stress tests, and link climate stress testing with credit and market risk stress tests.
- Conduct ongoing research on regulatory expectations (RBI, SEBI, Basel, etc.) and global standards (TCFD, GRI, SBTi, NGFS, PCAF, BRSR).
- Support preparation of climate‑related disclosures and reports for regulators, investors and other stakeholders.
- Organise and deliver training / workshops on climate risk for internal teams.

- Robust climate risk identification and sector/customer prioritisation.

Reservation, PwBD & CIBIL Conditions
- Horizontal reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) – specifically Visual Impairment (VI).
