The Senior Security Officer will act as the first respondent during emergencies and oversee overall security operations at the site. The role involves theft and sabotage prevention, surveillance system management, visitor and material movement control, transport management, intelligence gathering, and ensuring full compliance with security policies and SOPs.

🎯 Job Purpose

To proactively manage site security operations, safeguard personnel and assets, implement robust security protocols, and ensure effective emergency response while maintaining compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

The Senior Security Officer will implement comprehensive security policies and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. The role includes managing security resources efficiently, deploying modern surveillance systems, overseeing alarm and access control systems, and ensuring continuous monitoring of CCTV and security infrastructure.

The position requires conducting risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and developing mitigation strategies to prevent unauthorized access, theft, or sabotage. The officer will lead crisis management and emergency response efforts, ensuring preparedness for accidents, fire incidents, or mob control situations.

The role involves supervising entry and exit procedures for employees, visitors, contractors, and materials, maintaining detailed documentation for inward and outward movements, and ensuring compliance with SOPs. Responsibilities include overseeing frisking procedures, visitor management systems (VAMS), vehicle checks, transport operations, and maintaining logs for company-owned and third-party vehicles.

The officer will recruit, train, and manage security personnel, assign duties as per site requirements, conduct regular patrols, and ensure deployment at critical areas. The role also includes conducting induction training for new joiners and off-roll staff regarding security protocols, transport systems, and site regulations.

Additionally, the position involves vendor coordination with security agencies and transport providers, maintaining compliance updates, supporting audits, and liaising with government officials such as police and local authorities when required.

🎓 Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field

🧠 Experience & Skills

12+ years of relevant experience
Preferably Ex-Defence / Paramilitary / Police background
Strong crisis handling and emergency response capabilities
Ability to manage extreme situations and maintain control
Strong leadership, vigilance, and decision-making skills
