ONGC Hazira is looking to engage experienced professionals as Associate Consultants from both Production and Electrical backgrounds. Eligibility Criteria

Experience

  • Retired ONGC executives with a minimum of 5 years cumulative experience in any of the following ONGC units:
    • Hazira Plant
    • Uran Plant
    • CPF Gandhar
  • Or retired professionals from other PSUs with at least 5 years of relevant work experience in:
    • Refineries
    • Petrochemical plants

Relevant qualifications in Production or Electrical disciplines are required as per the nature of the post.

Age Limit

  • Maximum age: 65 years

Salary, Benefits and Increment

Selected Associate Consultants at E4/E5 level will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration.

  • Monthly honorarium: Rs. 66,000 (inclusive of all components)
  • Communication reimbursement: Up to Rs. 2,000 per month
  • GST: Any applicable GST is included in the package and will be borne by the individual

Payment Structure

  • 80% of the monthly honorarium plus phone reimbursement is payable every month.
  • Remaining 20% of the honorarium is payable after completion of the engagement period, subject to satisfactory performance and completion of assigned tasks.

Annual Increment

  • If the tenure is extended after completion of one year, a 5% increment will be given on the monthly honorarium part of the remuneration.

Tenure and Nature of Engagement

The engagement is purely on a contractual basis and does not confer any right to regular employment in ONGC.

  • Initial Period: 1 year.
  • Possible Extension: Up to 1 additional year, based on satisfactory performance and approval from the competent authority.
  • Medical Fitness: Engagement is subject to medical fitness certified by ONGC Medical Authority.

ONGC reserves the right to cancel the engagement at any time without assigning any reason. Either side can terminate the contract with 15 days’ notice under normal circumstances.

Roles and Responsibilities of Associate Consultants

Working Conditions, Leave and Other Terms

Duty Pattern

  • Consultants may be posted to any operational area or unit of Hazira Plant.
  • They may be assigned to general shift or round-the-clock shift duties.
  • In case of exigencies, they may be required to work extended hours or on holidays without any additional payment.

Leave Rules

  • One day paid leave is admissible for every completed month of duty.
  • Leave is calculated on a pro-rata basis.
  • Unused leave will lapse at the end of the tenure; no leave encashment is allowed.

Absenteeism and Deductions

  • In case of absenteeism, deduction per day will be calculated as:
    • Monthly honorarium payable ÷ number of days in the respective month.

Other Conditions
