📌 Job Overview

Tech Mahindra is hiring an experienced SMT Test EPM – SMT Coverage Library Generation professional for an onsite role in Cupertino, CA.

The role focuses on SMT test coverage library generation for existing and upcoming products. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong understanding of electrical design architecture, system testing, and cross-functional project coordination, along with an interest in leveraging AI/ML tools for test optimization and automation.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with SMT station DRIs to gather existing test coverage data across multiple projects
• Generate and maintain a comprehensive SMT test coverage library
• Perform end-to-end coverage analysis to evaluate test effectiveness and identify optimization opportunities
• Explore and use internal AI/ML tools or develop new tools to integrate test coverage libraries into test software automation
• Act as a technical expert in system-level testing processes
• Document, communicate, and present system test strategies and coverage clearly to stakeholders

🎓 Eligibility & Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (mandatory)

Experience:

• 5–10 years total experience
• Minimum 2+ years of project management experience

Technical Skills:

• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and layouts
• Experience generating test plans based on electrical designs
• Working knowledge of:
  • USB 3.2, USB-PD
  • DisplayPort, PCIe
  • I2C, SPI protocols
• Prior experience with Python or similar scripting languages
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with bed-of-nails test fixtures and instrument design

Travel Requirement:

• Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 10% (approximately 8–10 days per trip)

💰 Salary & Benefits

• Pay Range: USD $87,500 – $125,000 per annum (including bonuses/variable pay)
