Job Overview
IndiGo is hiring a Principal – Business Solutions (Data & Analytics), a senior strategic role acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and the Data & Analytics organization. This position leads demand management, solution consulting, stakeholder engagement, and ensures high-value delivery across analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in data strategy, analytics transformation, airline domain knowledge, and enterprise stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will function as the primary liaison between business units and the Data & Analytics teams, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on all analytics initiatives. You will analyze business strategies, identify critical data needs, translate them into actionable solution designs, and maintain a forward-looking demand pipeline. A major part of your responsibility involves leading solution consulting by offering thought leadership in BI modernization, AI/ML adoption, cloud analytics, and data governance frameworks. You will challenge existing assumptions, propose innovative approaches, and drive strong adoption of analytics-driven solutions.
Your role also requires building deep, trust-based relationships with senior stakeholders, ensuring expectations are well managed through structured governance and transparent communication. You will measure and articulate business value for each initiative through well-defined success metrics while driving continuous improvement across delivered products. Additionally, you will support organizational change management, enable user adoption, and ensure that all solutions evolve effectively with shifting business needs and emerging technologies.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical & Functional Skills
- Strong understanding of enterprise analytics (Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT, Data Governance, BI tools, Cloud platforms, ML fundamentals)
- Mandatory airline domain expertise
- Ability to convert business requirements into high-level architecture and scalable solution designs
- Familiarity with tools and platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Azure, AWS, GCP, MDM frameworks
Business & Leadership Skills
- 10–15+ years of experience in analytics consulting, product ownership, delivery management, or business partnering
- Proven stakeholder management in matrix environments
- Strong communication, negotiation, and executive presentation capabilities
- Experience leading multi-project workflows and complex cross-functional teams
- Highly analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or Master’s degree in Business, Technology, Analytics
- Consulting experience or prior work in an Analytics COE
- Certifications in Agile, Product Ownership, or Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)
