MBSS Engineer (Security Compliance Associate)

Job Overview

Nokia is hiring an MBSS Engineer (Security Compliance Associate) responsible for the end-to-end execution of Minimum Baseline Security Standards (MBSS) across Telecom and IT nodes. This role focuses on designing high-level security hardening controls, overseeing compliance assessments, and governing MBSS implementation across various Lines of Business (LOBs) and Managed Service Providers (MSPs).

This is a highly technical, architecture-driven role requiring deep mastery of security frameworks, telecom ecosystems, and large-scale compliance automation.

Key Responsibilities

Security Architecture & Hardening Design

• Design advanced security controls through multi-dimensional architecture analysis.
• Develop MBSS control design templates: commands, scripts, and validation methods for multi-vendor environments.
• Integrate industry frameworks such as CIS Benchmarks and NIST into hardening guidelines.

OEM & Deployment Coordination

• Collaborate with OEMs to validate controls and obtain production deployment sign-offs.
• Act as the technical lead for MBSS tool deployment during First Node Implementations and mass rollouts.

Compliance Operations & Governance

• Manage quarterly compliance scanning for 120,000+ nodes.
• Validate MBSS compliance for new nodes and provide Go-Live approvals.
• Lead technical gap analysis and remediation for non-compliances.
• Publish detailed compliance reports and track governance requirements across MSP and OEM environments.

Required Skills & Experience 

• B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, Electronics & Telecommunications.
• Certifications: CISA or CISSP (mandatory).
• 8–12 years of experience in security compliance or hardening.
• Deep understanding of CIS Benchmarks, NIST standards, and OS/OEM-level hardening.
• Hands-on experience with Telecom Nodes (2G–5G) across Core, RAN, Transmission, IP Fabric.
• Experience managing compliance across 50,000+ nodes using automation tools (e.g., BMC BladeLogic).
• Strong experience coordinating with MSPs and OEM partners for remediation and upgrades.

Preferred Skills 

• C-SANS: GCWN / GCUX (Windows/Unix).
• CCNP Security or Nokia NRS II.
• CCSP or Azure Security Engineer certification.
