Job Overview
Sun Pharma is hiring a Manager – Sustainability & ESG to strengthen its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy and reporting capabilities within Sun Global Operations (SGO). This role will be responsible for ESG framework implementation, sustainability reporting, KPI tracking, benchmarking, and assurance coordination.

Key Responsibilities
The Manager – Sustainability & ESG will support the development and execution of long-term sustainability strategies aligned with global mandates. The role involves tracking ESG KPIs, managing disclosures, and ensuring compliance with leading reporting frameworks including BRSR, CDP, S&P Global (DJSI), UNGC, CSRD, MSCI, Sustainalytics, and Annual Sustainability Reporting requirements. The candidate will guide internal departments in strengthening ESG frameworks, conduct data collation and validation across locations, perform gap assessments, and recommend actionable improvements to senior management.
The position requires leading ESG reporting compilation, coordinating with external assurance partners, managing ESG audits, preparing quarterly Board updates, conducting peer benchmarking, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities. Strong stakeholder engagement and analytical capabilities are critical to success in this role.

Educational Qualifications
- Post Graduate: M-Tech / MBA in Sustainability (Mandatory)
- Preferred Graduation: B.E. (Chemical/Mechanical Engineering)
- Degree from a reputed accredited university/college
Experience Required
- Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience in ESG domain
- Hands-on experience in ESG reporting and sustainability disclosures
- Experience handling assurance (audit) processes for ESG disclosures
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of ESG standards and reporting frameworks
- Excellent analytical and data validation skills
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ownership mindset and proactive approach
