Job Overview
The Manager – Financial Services role is focused on the Payments domain within banking and financial services. This is a pan-India role requiring strong business analysis expertise in clearing, settlement, payment engines, and digital transformation projects in large banking environments.
The position demands experience in Agile delivery environments and stakeholder management across geographies.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will work as a Business Analyst within the Payments ecosystem, handling message formats such as MT and MX messages and supporting clearing and settlement processes. The role requires detailed mapping of payment message types including pain.001, pacs.008, pacs.009, pain.002, MT103, MT202, and MT202Cov. The candidate will be expected to work on payment engines such as GPS and understand international payment schemes including SEPA.
The manager will contribute to digital transformation initiatives within large banking environments and align closely with Agile ways of working. Responsibilities include requirement gathering, requirement management and prioritization, writing strong user stories, conducting gap analysis, and demonstrating strong business acumen beyond purely IT implementation tasks. The role involves engagement with senior stakeholders across geographies and participation in transformation projects rather than only process reengineering or IT delivery assignments.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
- MBA preferred
Experience Requirement
- 5 to 12 years of relevant experience in Payments domain as a Business Analyst
- Experience in at least 2–3 digital project deliveries in large banks
- Exposure to transformation programs preferred
Technical & Domain Skills
- Strong understanding of Payments ecosystem
- Knowledge of Clearing & Settlement methods
- Experience with MT/MX payment messages
- Familiarity with SEPA and payment engines such as GPS
- Agile methodology alignment
- Gap analysis and requirement documentation expertise
