Key Responsibilities

Training Delivery & Standards

  • Impart flying training as per privileges defined under Aircraft Rules 1937 (Schedule II, Section R).
  • Follow DGCA-approved syllabus and Training & Procedure Manual (TPM).
  • Conduct simulator and flight training sessions as scheduled by Operations.
  • Ensure uniform and standardized training practices across trainee batches.

Student Pilot Development

  • Monitor student pilot progress and ensure competency within the prescribed training period.
  • Conduct detailed briefings and debriefings including:
    • Long brief
    • Pre-flight briefing
    • Post-flight briefing
  • Support development of professional discipline, safety culture, and operational awareness.

Safety, Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of the FTO.
  • Maintain accurate flight reports and student training records.
  • Ensure proper documentation before and after flight/simulator sessions.
  • Keep updated with latest DGCA regulations, TPM revisions, SOP updates, and Flight Operations Bulletins (FOB).
  • Complete all required eGCA tasks within defined timelines.

Program Coordination

  • Assist CFI & Dy. CFI in planning, coordinating, and monitoring training programs.
  • Support quality assurance and continuous improvement of training standards.
  • Promote safe flying operations through effective teamwork and communication.
