Job Overview
The Diploma Engineer Trainee will support manufacturing operations by ensuring safe plant operations, equipment monitoring, housekeeping compliance, and adherence to standard operating procedures. This entry-level role offers hands-on exposure to field operations, condition monitoring, minor troubleshooting, and plant safety management.
Key Responsibilities:
The Diploma Engineer Trainee will follow safe operating procedures within defined operating limits and act as a first responder during emergencies. The role involves monitoring and controlling field equipment as per SOPs, SOCs, LLF checklists, and ODR instruments while coordinating closely with shift superintendents and panel executives. The trainee will collect and deliver field samples for laboratory testing, promptly report abnormalities, and support equipment handover and takeover during maintenance activities. Responsibilities also include performing minor troubleshooting, minor maintenance, condition monitoring using portable ODR instruments, and contributing to waste reduction and chemical handling processes. The candidate will maintain shift logs, support contract workmen on safe practices, ensure proper housekeeping, and adhere to safety and management systems such as TQM, EFQM, QCC, and 5S. Additionally, the trainee will serve as a member of the Auxiliary Fire Squad and actively suggest improvement opportunities in plant operations.
