Job Overview

RBL Bank is hiring a Branch Manager for its Retail Branch Banking operations in Kannur. The role involves end-to-end branch management, including sales growth, customer service excellence, compliance & risk control, branch profitability, team leadership, and brand administration, in line with RBI and internal banking guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

• Achieve targets for CASA, Fixed Deposits, Loans (Home, Auto, Personal) and Fee Products (MF, Insurance, Gold, GI/LI)
• Prepare and track annual AOP, monthly sales plans, and catchment mapping (3–5 km radius)
• Drive outbound & inbound sales execution and lead closure
• Ensure 3 product sales per customer within 90 days of account opening
• Monitor DSRs, productivity of BSMs/BOMs/JOs, and daily business generation
• Improve market share and build a healthy asset–liability book

Customer Service Excellence

• Manage key branch relationships and conduct 10 customer visits weekly
• Ensure zero critical requests, zero escalations, and high service scores
• Maintain service TATs, lobby management, and first-contact resolution
• Conduct monthly customer engagement programs

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure adherence to RBI guidelines, audit requirements, and internal controls
• Daily monitoring of irregularity, exception, TOD, IBR, and AML/EDD reports
• Fraud prevention, KYC verification, and audit closure management
• Physical verification of cash, keys, lockers, valuables, and registers

Branch Profitability

• Drive Net Interest Income (NII) and fee income growth
• Optimize Opex and manage branch cash holdings
• Increase CASA balances, deposit penetration, and loan sourcing

Brand & Branch Administration

• Maintain branch branding, infrastructure, ATM upkeep, and hygiene
• Ensure proper functioning of equipment and adherence to brand guidelines

Team & Capability Building

• Mentor new joiners and conduct regular training & workshops
• Job rotation every six months and structured performance feedback
• Ensure employee certifications (AMFI, IRDA, e-Learning compliance)

Performance Indicators

• Retail P&L (NII & Fee Income achievement)
• CASA, Term Deposit growth & quality balances
• Loan disbursement targets (Home, Auto, Personal Loans)
• Customer service scores & audit compliance ratings
