About the Role
The Assistant Manager – Collections role at Bajaj Auto focuses on portfolio allocation, agency management, field risk evaluation, and ensuring process-compliant collections. This is an individual contributor role directly supporting the Area Manager.
Ideal for professionals with strong field collections expertise, negotiation capabilities, and stakeholder management experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Allocate collection portfolios to agencies based on past performance and FOS availability.
- Conduct case reviews with FOS/TL and supervise work assignment as per disposition codes.
- Lead call planning and assist agencies with complex/difficult cases.
- Oversee receipt book & repo kit allocation; conduct periodic audits.
- Ensure repo cases receive prior approvals and resolve repo-related escalations.
- Manage customer escalations related to collections/repossession.
- Coordinate with the legal team for initiating legal actions on chronic defaulters.
- Track bucket-wise resolution; restrict flow rates to next buckets.
- Replace non-performing FOS and support recruitment/training of new field staff.
- Ensure CRM queries are closed within TAT.
- Respond to RCU audits within TAT and ensure field-level implementation.
- Monitor HHT usage (100% compliance) and coordinate with IT for device issues.
- Ensure agency billing closure within the prescribed 60-day window.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: 2–8 years (Financial Services / Banking / NBFC / FMCG preferred)
- Qualification: Any Graduate / PG / MBA
- Age: Up to 30 years
