👟 Job Title: Assistant Buyer – Footwear

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research on current fashion trends through online benchmarking, brand analysis, surveys, and fashion gatherings.
• Ensure timely release of Purchase Orders (PO) to maintain OTIF (On Time In Fulfilment).
• Undertake accurate and timely release of ITP (Intent to Purchase).
• Assist seniors in vendor meetings for negotiations; independently conduct vendor meetings and seek approvals on key decisions.
• Support phasing and seasonal delivery planning aligned with the OTB (Open to Buy) budget.
• Continuously update the Range Planner / PLM for the season.
• Take initiative in sampling and research to develop innovative products aligned with the seasonal story, theme, or concept.
• Follow up on the sampling process as per the critical path, tech packs, and trend inputs.
• Coordinate fit checks and ensure sealing of samples with vendors.
• Provide accurate product information to the VM (Visual Merchandising) team to support wall, fixture, and store space planning.
• Visit stores and conduct competitor shopping to understand product mix, trends, and enhance customer delight.

✅ Ideal Candidate Profile

• Strong understanding of footwear trends and fashion retail.
• Experience in merchandising, buying, or product development preferred.
• Knowledge of OTB planning, PLM systems, and vendor coordination.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage timelines and critical paths efficiently.
• Willingness to travel for store visits and market research.
