Job Overview
Parle Agro, one of Indiaβs leading beverage companies with a turnover of βΉ8,500 Crore (2023), is hiring an Area Growth Manager for its Andhra Pradesh Sales division. The role is responsible for driving sales growth, expanding retail coverage, managing channel partners, and leading sales teams to achieve primary and secondary sales targets across Vijayawada and surrounding markets.
Key Responsibilities
The Area Growth Manager will develop and implement territory sales plans focused on expanding retailer coverage and strengthening distribution networks. The role involves managing channel partners and retail outlets to achieve primary and secondary sales targets while ensuring effective product visibility and in-store display practices. The candidate will appoint and manage channel partners and sales personnel to meet coverage and distribution objectives.
The position requires close monitoring of market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to identify new growth opportunities. The manager will set market plans for Growth Officers and ensure systematic execution aligned with regional strategies.
In business development, the candidate will expand the customer base, support new product launches, ensure adequate stock availability, and execute approved market contact plans in coordination with the Regional Growth Manager (RGM).
The role also includes team leadership and performance management, where the manager will set clear monthly, weekly, and daily targets for Growth Officers, conduct regular review meetings, provide on-the-job training, and ensure timely recruitment of vacancies in coordination with Regional HR. Continuous coaching, structured reporting, and alignment with business goals will be key deliverables.
Education & Eligibility
- MBA preferred (Business Schools)
- Experience in FMCG industry, particularly General Trade
- 3β5 years (Overall 4β8 years preferred in FMCG sales & management)
- Age below 35 years
