Job Overview
Mahindra & Mahindra is seeking a Data Scientist (AI/ML) to join its Bengaluru team. This role is ideal for professionals with 2–5 years of hands-on experience in developing, deploying, and optimizing Machine Learning models.
Candidates with exposure to Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Large Language Models (LLMs) will have a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
As a Data Scientist (AI/ML), you will develop, deploy, and optimize machine learning models for prediction and forecasting across structured and unstructured datasets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business problems into data-driven solutions.
Your responsibilities will include performing data preprocessing, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis (EDA) to improve model performance. You will build and deploy end-to-end ML pipelines covering training, evaluation, and production deployment.
The role also involves monitoring model performance, implementing feedback loops, ensuring scalability and robustness, and experimenting with cutting-edge ML frameworks. Documentation of workflows and communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be critical.
Exposure to production-level Computer Vision, NLP, LLM implementations, and handling varying data volumes will be considered a strong plus.
Required Technical Skills
Core Expertise
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Experience with ML libraries such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch
- Solid understanding of supervised & unsupervised learning
- Experience with model deployment tools (Docker, Flask, FastAPI)
- Exposure to cloud ML services (AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI)
- Proficiency in SQL and structured/unstructured data handling

- Computer Vision frameworks (OpenCV, YOLO)
