Job Overview

The SOAR Automation Engineer will design, implement, and manage automation workflows using Cortex XSOAR and Automation Anywhere to strengthen security operations and accelerate incident response across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

You will build and maintain SOAR playbooks, security automation workflows, and integrations using Cortex XSOAR. The role includes supporting incident response automation, developing API-based integrations, managing SOAR platform upgrades, creating scripts using Python/PowerShell, and deploying Automation Anywhere bots to reduce manual effort.

Detailed Duties

SOAR Implementation & Management

• Build and maintain SOAR playbooks and integrations (Cortex XSOAR).
• Implement automated workflows for security triage, detection, and response.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities.
• Support incident investigation using automated tools.
• Integrate SOAR with SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and threat-intel platforms.
• Develop custom API-based integrations and scripts.
• Perform SOAR version and integration upgrades.
• Train teams on SOAR functionalities and usage.
• Maintain process documentation and playbook repositories.

Automation Development

• Build automated processes using Automation Anywhere.
• Create and maintain bots to enhance operational efficiency.
• Develop scripts to reduce manual workloads and improve response times.

Qualifications

Technical Experience

• 4–5 years in cybersecurity with focus on security automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cortex XSOAR and Automation Anywhere.
• Knowledge of incident response & vulnerability management.
• Proficiency in Python or PowerShell.
• Experience with SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and security infrastructure.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical & problem-solving ability.
• Excellent communication & teamwork.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

Certifications

• Certifications in Cortex XSOAR, Automation Anywhere, or cybersecurity domains preferred.
