📌 Job Overview

Nokia is hiring a Principal Technical Project Manager to lead and coordinate end-to-end R&D software deliveries for Altiplano software releases.
This role involves planning, tracking, and coordinating software architecture, development, and testing activities across geographically distributed teams, including Nokia employees and subcontractors.

The position offers exposure to cutting-edge network management and automation technologies, with a strong focus on quality, security, standards compliance, and timely delivery.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Own overall project execution performance across content, timelines, quality, and resource capacity
• Coordinate with key stakeholders including Product Management, Technical Area Leads, Delivery Units, and Project Management Leads
• Ensure project execution adheres to defined processes, tools, and governance models
• Monitor, optimize, and report project execution status, risks, and roadblocks on a weekly basis
• Manage end-to-end delivery of all components involved in Altiplano core software releases
• Handle communication, scheduling, resource planning, change management, risk mitigation, and escalations
• Drive resolution of customer and quality issues through structured corrective actions
• Identify workload requirements and required expertise for project execution
• Propose and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
• Maintain strong customer focus while balancing technical and delivery constraints

🎯 Skills & Experience

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in one or more of the following:
  • Network Design
  • Integration & Deployment
  • Software Maintenance
  • Test / Development Management
  • Software Project Management
• Strong understanding of:
  • End-to-End Telecom Networks
  • Broadband Technologies (Copper / Fiber)
  • Network Domain Controllers
  • Network Management Systems
• Knowledge of Virtualization, SDN, and NFV concepts
• Hands-on experience in design, build, deployment, and troubleshooting

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Awareness of Nokia ISAM / FNMS / Lightspan / Altiplano
• Strong customer focus and negotiation skills
• Ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks effectively
• Analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights from complex data
• Strong team collaboration skills
