Job Overview

Adani Group is hiring an Associate Manager – Techno Commercial to support strategic sourcing and procurement activities for Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) manufacturing. The role involves supplier onboarding, techno-commercial evaluations, cost optimization, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Sourcing & Procurement

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for WTG components such as castings, forgings, fabricated assemblies, electrical systems, and Balance of Plant (BoP) items
• Drive sourcing decisions based on cost, capability, lead time, and quality parameters
• Support localization initiatives aligned with business objectives and government policies

2. Techno-Commercial Evaluation

• Conduct technical and commercial analysis of RFQs, proposals, and supplier quotations
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to finalize specifications and ensure compliance
• Recommend optimal sourcing and negotiation strategies using cost breakdowns, manufacturing insights, and market intelligence

3. Negotiation & Contract Management

• Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions
• Prepare and manage long-term agreements (LTAs), rate contracts, and purchase orders
• Mitigate procurement risks through effective contract structuring and supplier performance tracking

4. Supplier Management

• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to improve performance, innovation, and reliability
• Conduct supplier audits, performance reviews, and capability assessments
• Resolve supply chain bottlenecks, quality concerns, and delivery challenges in coordination with internal teams

5. Cost Management & Optimization

• Perform cost analysis, benchmarking, and value engineering exercises
• Track commodity trends, market movements, and procurement KPIs
• Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or delivery timelines

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with engineering, planning, logistics, finance, and manufacturing teams
• Support new product development and prototype builds through effective vendor coordination

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Production Engineering (mandatory)
• MBA in Supply Chain / Operations (preferred)

Experience

• 7–12 years of experience in techno-commercial procurement
• Prior experience in wind energy, renewable energy, heavy engineering, or manufacturing preferred

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including casting, forging, machining, fabrication, and assembly
• Proven expertise in SAP/MM, sourcing tools, and procurement workflows
