Job Overview

Adani Group is hiring a Lead – Project Planning & Control for its large-scale infrastructure projects in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This senior leadership role focuses on strategic project planning, scheduling, cost control, risk management, and regulatory compliance across EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) phases, with a strong emphasis on airport and transportation infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Execution

• Execute project scheduling strategies for construction projects to ensure timely progress across all phases
• Develop and manage detailed project schedules using tools such as Primavera and MS Project
• Track Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) activities against defined timelines
• Collaborate with the Central Project Assurance Group (CPAG) to align outcomes with project objectives

Operations Management

• Coordinate daily workflows between engineering, procurement, and construction teams
• Ensure effective resource allocation aligned with project milestones
• Adapt schedules and resources to meet evolving project requirements
• Monitor project performance to identify deviations in schedule, cost, and resource utilization
• Implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and ensure uninterrupted project progress

Project Portfolio Management

• Conduct periodic portfolio reviews and present insights to senior management
• Evaluate project performance, risk exposure, and corrective actions
• Prioritize projects based on resource availability, ROI, and risk factors

Regulatory Compliance

• Implement standardized processes for project reporting, audits, and quality/safety checks
• Ensure compliance with AERA, MOCA, and other regulatory standards
• Generate and maintain project reports such as Daily Progress Reports (DPR) and Monthly Progress Reports (MPR)
• Maintain standardized documentation and control systems for schedule and budget adherence

Risk Management

• Develop and implement proactive risk management strategies
• Monitor KPIs and maintain transparent reporting on progress, cost, and risks
• Maintain and monitor the Risk Register and Constraints Log

Financial Oversight

• Provide strategic oversight of project budgets and financial forecasts
• Implement cost control measures across all project phases
• Analyze cost variances and optimize resource allocation to prevent overruns

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Define KPIs for tracking progress, quality, safety, and budget compliance
• Prepare detailed, data-driven reports for senior leadership
• Use project control systems to ensure SOP adherence and accurate metric tracking

Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to align timelines and objectives
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project planning and scheduling matters

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualification

• 15+ years of experience in project planning, scheduling, and control
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role
• Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects (airport or transportation sector preferred)
