Job Description – Construction Engineer (Civil)
Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) is hiring a Construction Engineer – CHO Projects Civil to support civil construction and execution activities at its Jamnagar project site.
The role involves supervision of site works, coordination with contractors, quality control, and adherence to safety and engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate land development, layout, and site execution activities
- Study and interpret plot plans, drawings, and technical specifications
- Coordinate with survey teams for boundary marking and leveling work
- Conduct soil sampling and field compaction tests
- Monitor compaction, contractor activities, and resource mobilization
- Verify daily progress reports (DPR) and share updates with project controls
- Ensure quality and safety during concreting, scaffolding, and reinforcement works
- Supervise execution of civil works in line with project timelines and standards
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Degree in Civil Engineering
OR - Diploma in Civil Engineering
Experience
- Degree holders: 6 to 8 years of relevant experience
- Diploma holders: 14 to 16 years of relevant experience
- Experience in refinery or petrochemical construction projects is preferred
Required Skills
- Knowledge of plant layout, area development, and civil site execution
- Understanding of concrete technology and construction practices
- Familiarity with scaffolding systems and safety procedures
- Basic knowledge of surveying and leveling activities
- Strong coordination, supervision, and reporting skills
